There is a baptism for a Harriet Cornwell in Cambridge 30 january 1842, parents Philip and Ann. Could she have been the Harriet who married Edward Jones in 1868. The marriage certificate should tell you who her father was.

No Eric Bryan death found for 2013 in Cannock. There is only one for 2013 and that was registered in Wolverhampton. If that is the one you want then he was born 1945.

The James Gatley aged 25 on the 1851 Census cannot be the one who married in 1819 as he wouldn't have been born

The church year used to start on Lady Day which usually was in late March. Not quite New Year as we know it now.

According to Sheffield and District FHS who supplied the information to the National Burial Index

Elizabeth Kirk aged 42 buried 27 August 1852 at St Mary, Sheffield

John Kirk aged 66 buried 9 November 1874 at St Mary, Sheffield

It may well mean that she was from Mannerly but was having the child baptised in Shifnal. Maybe something to do with the child's illegitimacy

Just out of interest he married Catherine Hall in Holy Trinity, Hull 11 October 1836.
