That's what my aunt remembers.

I've looked in the newspapers for a report on the accident and/or a coroner's report but haven't found anything yet.

My aunt also said that Dan Charles was a lovely man who was always helping other people.  My Dad also remembered him with affection and we used to visit the grave when in Tregaron.

His birth is recorded as 3rd quarter 1912, vol 11b page 99.

That year is confirmed in the next census and the actual date from the 1939 Register.

1911 - John Jones, b 1864, living at Bronwenllwyd Swyddffynnon.  His wife, Elizabeth Owen, is in this census but not in the next.  As Dan Charles was born Aug 1912, it's likely Elizabeth died around 1911.

I'll message you to give you the Ebenezer family connection so as not to name living people here.

Not a blood relative.
My Mamgu married Will Ebenezer, one of Kate's brother, when my father was a youngster.
The aunt (accurately my half-aunt but we never use that term)  who has passed this information on is though.

Dan Charles and John Aeron were the sons of Kate Ebenezer and she said the father was her employer, John Jones of Bronwenllwyd, Swyddffynnon (1911 and 1921 census).
The two boys were registered under her surname of Ebenezer because she was not married.
While she was in John Jones' employment as a housekeeper, the two boys were brought up by Kate's mother.
In 1925 Kate married Evan Rees Morgan.

It was Kate Ebenezer who was the housekeeper for John Jones - he is the genetic father of Dan Charles (b. 1912) and John Aeron (b. 1917).

Kate married Evan Rhys Morgan in 1925.

Dan was killed at the early age of 37 in a motorbike accident.  He had let a friend ride and Dan was riding pillion.  I have a picture of his gravestone.

Kate was my aunt's aunt and she says that both boys, Dan Charles and John Aeron, were fathered by John Jones (see the 1921 census).  Kate was his housekeeper - to keep her job, she had to provide 'extra services'.

The boys were brought up by their grandmother.

When my ancestors were late registering the birth of a child, they just gave a false date of birth so that they didn't have to pay a fine.
