Worcestershire Lookup Requests / Re: grove/harris

Glen,
In Julian Hunts book, A History of Halesowen, there are a couple of pages about button making in Halesowen. The Harris are mentioned as are the Groves.
The answer to your question is that James Grove lived at the Cedars on Stourbridge Road until his death in 1886

Hello Chui,

I suspect this is Thomas in 1861;

104A Norton
Thomas Morgan Head M 35 Farm Labourer Norton Worcs
Caroline Morgan wife M   39 Dress Maker Pedmore Worcs

I realise the place of birth is wrong but these things happened

I, like you , can't find him in 1871

Shropshire Lookup Requests / Re: 1851 Census look-up William Reynolds
« on: Tuesday 01 November 05 07:49 GMT (UK)  »
Hello Monica,
Thanks for taking the time to look for William. It looks like he managed to miss the count in both the 1841 and 1851 census's.
Has anyone got any suggestions how I may locate him?
Regards

Hello Monica,
I don't have anything factual at all on William and Elizabeth but I think they may have been the William and Elizabeth (Postones) who married at All Stretton on May 28 1821.
If they were not in Shropshire in 1851, I'll have to widen my search to Staffordshire

Best Regards

John
