I can tell you that Joseph married Lucy Ada Parbery in 1936 in West Ham. Where can I hunt down a copy of their marriage certificate?

Sorry, very new to all this.

I have no idea Ruskie. I literally started searching today.

We found Josephs gravesite here in Australia and his death certificate info. I know who he married and what year but nowI need to go backwards.

(whoops hit the wrong smilie button)

Hi Harlu

Welcome to Rootschat :D

Do already have Joseph's birth certificate?

If not this looks like him (found on http://www.freebmd.org.uk/ )

Joseph H Woolhouse mother's maiden-name Coatley registered Lambeth Jan qtr 1913 Vol1d Pg937

Jan ;)

I have looked at that one too and wondered if it was him. So maybe search for a Florence Coatley then? We are trying to go back to see where his family come from.

Thank you so much for all the responses so far.

Hi everyone.

I am trying to trace my husbands family history. His Grandfather was Joseph Herbert Woolhouse born March 1913 in Surrey. Joseph's parents were Frederick Charles Woolhouse and Florence Mary.

If anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated

 :)
