Glamorganshire / George Holloway Dean - (b.1876 in Cardiff)

Hi,
I have George Holloway Dean born 16 June 1876 (mother Martha Margaret Emery / father Michael Holloway Dean - from Birth Certificate). I next see him in 1901 in Tylorstown but cannot find the family in 1881 or 1891? In 1881 Michael Holloway Dean is at the Boot Inn, 22 High Street, Merthyr as a 'traveller' but no sign of his son George. Michael died in 1886
Any help with regards to where George was from 1876 to 1901 would be greatly appreciated.
