If it's Hanbury Worcestershire then you can get the parish records and monumental inscriptions from Birmingham and Midland Society for Genealogy and Heraldry :)

Hi Annette,

I can see where you're coming from (right on all those dates) - I hadn't seen that burial... or can't recall it ??? It would be unusual to have a child so late in child-bearing life. I'm presuming my Elizabeth is the Elizabeth Bennett baptised in Appleshaw in 1756 to John Jacob Bennett and Elizabeth (Pyke). Haven't found any other baptisms nearby.

I did send an email to Knightroots asking what information they had on Elizabeth's second marriage (since they're the only source that mentions it) but they didn't know anything about it.

Speaking of Crouches, I'm having trouble finding anything on William's parents John and Margaret. Frustrating!

Hi Clare,

Thank you for taking a look! :) Hm, I might look into him a bit more. Interesting he has ties with Surrey... although not Southwark. Shame it doesn't mention their statuses.

Kellie.

Hampshire & IOW Lookup Requests / Andover Marriage Lookup Please - Elizabeth Crouch
« on: Sunday 01 January 17 23:45 GMT (UK)  »
Hello, hope you've all had a good holiday season :)

I'm hoping someone might be able to please help with a little problem I have. According to Knightroots, one of my ancestors remarried and died in London in 1831. I have my suspicions about one marriage record but can't confirm. If someone is able to find a bit more info from the record, I'd be forever grateful!

Elizabeth Crouch marries Thomas Cook on the 28th December 1830 in Andover. I found the death of an Elizabeth Cook in Southwark, Surrey. The transcripts I've read only mention names so I have no idea if she's listed as a widow or not.

There are a few Elizabeth Crouch marriages between when her first husband William Crouch died (1805) and when she does. She and William had 12 children around Penton Grafton/Weyhill/Clanville area.

Thanks in advance if anyone can help :)

Dorset / Re: Cull Family Worth matravers/ corfe/langton matravers
« on: Sunday 01 January 17 23:08 GMT (UK)  »
I've found a family tree on Ancestry that puts George Cull as having the alias Timothy Smith (at least, being born with that name in 1768 to Sarah Smith). Apparently some people have put a bit of effort into untangling this.

In fact, Sarah has a brother called Timothy Smith and in his will in 1804 (that I read on Ancestry) it has:

"...I give and bequeath to George Cull otherwise Smith son of my sister Sarah Smith..."

The only son Sarah had was Timothy. Maybe he didn't like the name, or his alleged father was a Cull! ???

Leicestershire Lookup Requests / Re: Marriage Lookup - Thomas Bassett and Elizabeth
« on: Thursday 22 December 16 22:26 GMT (UK)  »
If you're willing to look across the border to Warwickshire, there's a Thomas Bassett marrying Elizabeth Smith in Grendon on the 16th September 1792. A bit out of town, but still close enough to be a possibility. I can't find anything in Hinckley either.

Northamptonshire Lookup Requests / Re: Thomas Mawson - 1741 Will Lookup Please?
« on: Wednesday 21 December 16 00:06 GMT (UK)  »
Thank you very much yet again! :D

Just on Thomas Mauson's second marriage, maybe that was his son? Since it doesn't fit with Phebe 1st's death. Did just find someone's list of 1735/6 marriages in Market Harborough and in it was:

Thomas Mauson of Wilbarston and Elizabeth Newett of this parish were married January 22.
