Galway / Baptism lookup. Patrick Leonard c1834 Ahascragh
« on: Friday 27 October 23 22:05 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help. I'm looking for Patrick Leonard born 1834-1836 in Ahascragh. I know his father would be John Leonard. When Patrick married in Essex, England in 1887 his father had the profession of Gentlemen but did not state if he was deceased or not.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks so much for that, that looks like the right person. He would have been a pensioner at this time as he would have been 67, so it fits.

Thanks again

Europe / William Herbert - Newspaper lookup - Malta (COMPLETE)
« on: Wednesday 12 July 23 15:42 BST (UK)  »
I was wondering whether there could be a newspaper article for the death of William Herbert in Malta. I think he died around 1900 but not sure. He was an ex Royal Navy serviceman and had ties to the Navy after leaving service so thought he may have been mentioned in the papers

Thanks in advance

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Death certificate cause of death

Just received a death certificate today. I can't work out the full cause of death. The first words I think are Exostosis of, but the next 2 words I haven't been able to figure out. Wondering if another pair of eyes can work it out.

Thanks in advance

Thank you. It does seem to fit. Just thought it looked like an L but now I see it as seaman too.
