Cork / Thomas Shelley c1816 Cork lookup request
« on: Friday 29 July 11 18:53 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

I'm looking for any details on a Thomas Shelley born c1816 in Cork. Don't know where exactly as the uk census is pretty vague. He was married in 1838 in London, England to Mary Ann Shelley. Thomas Shelley's father is listed as being George Shelley, and his occupation is a Hatter. I'm guessing that George Shelley stayed in Ireland as i can find no record of him living in England. Also Thomas may be Thomas Moore Shelley, as this was the name stated on one of his childrens marriage certificate.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

England / Joshua Arthur Spackman born 1900
« on: Friday 15 July 11 22:53 BST (UK)  »
I'm looking for Joshua Arthur Spackman born 1900 Edmonton, Middlesex. Other than his registration in 1900 in Edmonton I can find no other record for him in any BMD records. In the 1901 census he is just Arthur Spackman. I've checked the debt of honour for WW1 & 2 but nothing. Can anyone help me find him to see if he perhaps emigrated etc because I have hit a brick wall.

England / Search for Herbert Sisters 1871 onwards
« on: Wednesday 23 March 11 05:39 GMT (UK)  »
I've been trying to trace these 3 sisters for some time now, and have drawn a blank on their whereabouts. I've not found them in any census entry after 1881, and can find no death entry's for them. Could they have migrated? I just cannot find them anywhere.

Elizabeth Ann Herbert - 1853, Rochester, Kent (last found on the 1871 census in St Pancras)
Eliza Caroline Herbert - 1855, Rochester, Kent (last found on the 1881 census in St George Hanover Square)
Emma Herbert - 1863 - Rochester, Kent (last found on the 1881 census in Rochester St Margaret)

Any help in tracing them would be greatly appreciated.

Canada Lookup Request / Hyde family Immagration lookup
« on: Monday 10 January 11 20:10 GMT (UK)  »
I'm looking for the following family who i know went to Canada between 1901 & 1911. I was wondering if anyone could tell me when they moved to Canada. I know the destination was Ottawo.

Hyman Henry George Hyde born 1897 Chatham, Kent, England
Maud Ada Hyde born 1899 Chatham, Kent, England
Possibly Hilda Hyde born c 1909 England, but not sure if she was born in Canada or in England.

I don't know if they went with the parents. The father is Henry Joseph Hyde born 1866, Kent, England, and Mother Annie Amelia Hyde born 1871 Kent.

I think i found them on the 1911 Canada Census in Carleton. Hyman has been transcribed as Thomas, but it's not clear the date they entered Canada. It maybe 1910.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Scotland / Death search Hannah Mackenzie
« on: Monday 03 January 11 18:44 GMT (UK)  »
I not clued up on Scottish BMD records, so i'm an absolute beginner. I'm looking for any record of a death for Hannah Mackenzie (Nee Brown) born 1874 Northumberland, England, wife of Alexander Mackenzie, mother of Dorothy and Alexander. I've reason to believe that Hannah & Alexander moved to Scotland between 1901 - 1911. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

I'm looking for the following family to see if they immigrated to another country, but obviously i don't have a clue to which one. They do not appear on the u.k 1911 census or any bmd records after 1901, which makes me think they immigrated. The family are

Alexander Mackenzie born c1865 Scotland
Hannah Mackenzie born 1874 Ulgham, Northumberland
Dorothy Mackenzie born 1894 Willington Quay, Northumberland
Alexander Mackenzie born 1896 Willington Quay, Northumberland

Any help would be greatly appreciated as Hannah is the only Great Grandaunt that i've had no success in tracing.
