Yes, I looked at this one, and got quite excited, but I think she can be found as Emily Duggie on the 1910 with her husband Samuel.  What do you think?

Yes, she married Frank H Deering 1908 in Wall Lake Sac. Iowa.  She is on the 1910 census with him and she died 1922 Newport Pend Oreille Washington.  She left her home and family 1904 Herefordshire England.

United States of America / US arrival - Knight/Duggan 1905
« on: Saturday 04 February 17 08:56 GMT (UK)  »
I am looking for the arrival of Emily Sylvia Knight b.1875 Herefordshire.  On the 1920 census she claims to be born 1877 and her arrival in the US was 1905.  I know who she married in the US and where she lived and died, but I cannot find her passage.  At the time of her passage she was Mrs Emily Sylvia Duggan, (married to Samuel Joseph Duggan) but she used her maiden name in the US.  I cannot find her with either name, can anyone help?

Can anyone tell me what happened to Charles, the son of Stephen and Ann, after the 1861 census - eg 1871 census.  Thank you.

I'm clutching at straws here -
1881 Dist 43 SE Leeds  Ann Wilson wid. 52 b. Howden, Charles Wilson son 36 unm. Bricklayer b. Leeds.
1871 - Little Dean Gloucestershire (one of 10 lodgers) - Charles Wilson 25 unm. occupation blank - b. Leeds.

I'm trying to follow this through - just in case!

Mary died 1900 Rhayader, she didn't remarry, and he was Charles at the baptism of both sons.  The eldest son was David Charles, perhaps he assumed his father was also a David Charles - the son's marriage took place after the death of his mother.

Yes, he was a bachelor in 1876. .Stephen was not marked as deceased on the marriage cert. so he must be somewhere on the previous census, but I can't find him! It is entirely possible that he made up his fathers name, so I might have to concentrate on all of the illegitimate births.  Not knowing his age makes this job so involved!!

Hello Milliepede

Marriage witnesses were David Pritchard and James Ward - I can't find a James Ward, either!  and no other children.  The two that they have were baptised in Rhayader and Charles & Mary were their parents.  As for dying in Radnorshire, I can't find a death anywhere else, either.
