The Common Room / Re: Employer Credit Draper And Jailor Dealer
« on: Thursday 29 October 20 10:40 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,

Where did you spot this?[Please include full details]

If the 2 parts are together (Draper) then "Jailor" could very well be "Tailor" ?

If we had been told that you had a public tree on Ancestry then we would have saved unnecessary duplicated research by Rootschatters.

" Why would Gillian report the marriage of her mother to BMD organisation "
She didn't, It was transcribed by "GILLIAN"

Hi

The FreeBMD.org transcription of the "1957" marriage was transcribed by someone listed as (just) "GILLIAN".

It has this comment against it . . . . .
"This record was transcribed by: This person wishes to remain anonymous."

The reverse side of the marriage entry  does not have the comment.

Regards

Hi

Don't waste the day!    Why not, instead?     [ When considered safe to do so ]

Go to Crediton ( EX17 1HJ ) and visit the cider works?
Get some supplies for the Exeter/Wasps game?

Come home via Bovey Tracey ( TQ13 9EG ) visitting the distillery and get even more supplies?

You are not that far away.

Searching gave this . . . . .

"Senior  member,  in  length  of  service,  of  any  profession,  field,  etc.."

I would take it as the "rank" of the clergy involved.

However . . . . .
