Tricia,

great then, if 1837 online is the place, I'll look into it.
At least I know I wont be paying for nothing like I have already
did elsewhere.

Thank for the trouble MR !

Hi! Tricia,

last time we wrote, you said you would check it up again and get back at me...

in the meanwhile I still haven't found what I was looking for but I got more clues
in the doing so (on Sarah Williams,..at least I got the right one now as for her birth date) but I still haen't resolve the marriage enigma !!!

The thing with John And Isabella doesn't seem to match (check the web site address above) maybe you can figure it out better than me.

maybe if we can find where that "John" died will answer it because as mentioned on the web site, Isabella and the kids all moved to NJ, US by 1900..(and they even had more kids afterworth) was John with them or not...n0o clue but I guess so !!!

my honest idea on that is that a different eye can bring different views
and it is quite hard (to be polite) to get answers from where I stand, as you know
...So sorry for the mislead if I ever cause any and i'll try to be more rigorous !!

The Optimist way of seeing it altough is that,.. you should she it on this side of the Atlantic...it's either write and wait or drop dead before you get a clue of some sort.

ROOTSCHAT is a miracle for me after 2 long years of searching for fantom...

Anyway be kind with me, I'll reach up to you guy's standard one of these days !!!

much grateful in the meanwhile,

regards,

Rob

Here is what I know so far :

Adam (my father) on is birth cert. it says Sarah nee Williams Bates (the mother)
would that be her marriage name ?..if a remarriage it was !or her maiden name ???

as for Isabella and John Bates, I don't think they are the same.
I found her nee name as AMISON and a web site on the family (they moved to New Jersey) around 1900 and she died there in 1909 and John died before 1909 but no idea where !?!!http://www.amisonfamilytree.co.uk/paf-files/thomas-amison/pafg09.htm#421
that John doesn't have the same father's name as my Grandfather John Bates

6 peal street is the right family one

please help, I have no other clue

many thanks for you help, regards

Thank you all !

definitely seem to be the same family, still either they had 16th children or so,
or they where in to playing with the censer guy !?!!

much grateful for the information.

small question ?

how can I find the where about of my father from England to Canada ?
...and a previous marriage record in England, possibly Bournemouth 1944 ???
Adam Bates, born Walsall 1900
(could of became Arthur William Bates by then, guess it ran in the family not liking their birth name)

I have no clue where to look for after 1901 census !?!!

my regards to you John and Helen,

Rob
