Thanks very much for clips but unfortunately neither has solved my question.  The first wouldn't open at all, the second opens but can't find the way to the article.

I would be grateful if anyone can find a newspaper cutting or a little more information on Thomas Mather who died Sep 1845 at age 54 he was speared by aboriginals at Mt Lindsay, New South Wales.  He had arrived in NSW 7 Jan 1842 with wife and 6 children.

Possibly, he was the youngest of 9 but just had a look at husband William's side and there's no Freds!

PS - When I first came across this Sarah born in the parish of Mulberry Street, she was with some of her children on the same page.  This convinced me it may be her!!!

Thank you all trying to sort that out for me.  So many people with the same names its really impossible to know for definite which one is my great-gran.  You are right Maiden Stone I'm wrong again!  Her maiden name was Kelly and her birth varies between 1852 to 1854.  I'm probably never going to pin her down.
There is a family in Ormskirk and someone had tried to convince me that this was my Sarah and she was born in Ormskirk.  I'm not convinced as she has put in many places she was born in Queens County.  Another reason why I don't think this family is her is that my grandmother had a brother called Frederick and this family does not have a Frederick amongst the children.
So I go on searching!
Sorry for diverting the conversation away from my original questions and getting it wrong again!

Sarah & Frederick had 9 children.  The first William Henry died 1 year old b.1874 not there. Henry b.1876 in Manchester and Robert b.1879 are there. William, there I have born 1881, they have him b.1877.  Sarah Jane my grandmother b.1882 and Julia b.1888 not there because family living in Yorkshire for 10 years.  Elizabeth Anna is on findmypast although she was also in Yorkshire.   Maria b.1890 also in Bradford when born was baptised at St Pats.  And Frederick b.1893 in Manchester also not there.
The missing ones are on FindMyPast that you sent me although Robert is also as above.
The one I find really strange is a baptism for Sarah Kelly Mather b. 1853/4 baptised at the Hidden Gem
Bap   MATHER   Sarah   1854   Baptised at Manchester, St. Mary, Mulberry Street
She is the person who I've been trying to track down for years coming from Queens County, Ireland
Or is she?  There are so many people with the same name!!
Thanks again for your help.
Marie

Forgive me, our messages keep passing each other on the way!

I am going to send off for the St Patrick's CD to finally see it in print.  I know Henry Mather b.1876 was the second of my great-grandparents family, the first one William died within a year.
Again I will get back to you when I have got the CD and confirmed what I think is a definite anyway.

Marie
