Hi, I would not assume that there is no memorials at the crematorium. I have parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles who were cremated at Rookwood and they all have memorials, some in the Rose Gardens.
Due to the cost of placement in the Rose Gardens the majority have Niches in the many Walls. I would send an email to Rookwood Crematorium, you never know you might find a memorial.

Hi
I am wondering if anybody will be visiting the Rockhampton Crematorium and would be willing to take a photograph for me.
The Crematorium office has advised me that Walter Henry GOSTELOW who passed away 28.7.1966 and his wife Dorothy Jean GOSTELOW who died 28.2.1975 were laid to rest in a Family Plot being Section 3 Plot 125. I would appreciate a photo of the Plot, and memorial.
As I live in Sydney I am unable to visit the Cemetery.

Hi I just had a quick look on Ancestry , he is listed with Grace at Clovelly 1937 as CARDY.
in 1929 they are on the rolls as Cardy and Grace in Red hill QLD, I don't feel it is a nickname
