Hello Carole

It just says on certificate: Aug 29th 1876 the parish church in the parish of St Mary's in County of Hull
George Price 21 bachelor Hawker St Marys Father George Price, Stove Dealer?
Jane Hollis    18 spinster  - - - - -   St Marys Father Reubin Hollis  Trimer?

Yes, I was trying to find out more abt both their families: and where they actually come from etc.
He was my Gt Grandma's father. Bit of a puzzle. Grateful for any help or idea's?  ::)

Hi,
Anyone know how to find out what address (and perhaps who else in the family is living there) of a couple that marry, saying they live in st Mary's hull?  That's all on the certificate. Would there be a record of such info? Thanks a lot  ::)

We had this often as kids...but my family called it Joey gravy!  Perhaps because there was little in it only onions and bacon (some people said they put cold tea in it) we didnt though.  i loved it when I was a kid....plenty of salt and pepper yum! :D

Travelling People / Re Letitia Mobbs
« on: Monday 23 August 10 08:31 BST (UK)  »
The dreaded Mobb/Grays! Hi, lots of info on this family but nothing much on Letitia mobbs and Elizabeth Mobbs who are living with Moses Smith and Eldri (Gray) on the 1861 census . Can anyone clear this up for me? Letitia was my GG Gmother.  Have nothing about Elizabeth who it appears on the Census to be Letitia and Eldri's mother?   A lead on this woman would be nice...as would a birth cert for Letitia :-\

The closest thing I have that may be abt Letitia is a report I paid privately for, but that says:

28th May Letitia Moggs dau James and Bathyany Moggs Hougham.  Vagrants and basket Makers.
Ref 23/16/003/03A from Hougham Baptism register. no. 349, but there was nothing more between 1843 - 1850 in that area so I cannot go forward or backwards with this one.  And is this my woman??
Would like something possitive to round this one up if possible...any ideas please? ???

Thank You Carole.  I do have the stuff you found...also Jane Attrick in 1851 with others, including Parnhams sister Ann lwho is wed to Chas Russell (head) st benidict Lincoln.  Also her mother and father Samuel Hattrick  60 on 1841 census with Elizabeth 40
Margaret 17, Ann 11, Ellen 9, Jane 6, Selma $, Thomas 16 mths.

Ive traced the Parnhams and George Parnham the 1sts Father Richard Pernham 45 1841 Derby all sts.
Someone actually suggested that George Parnham junior could well be our man..but how do I prove or disprove that?  tried checking if his dad died and mum married a Price, no go. the only other thing is Jane Attrick may well have had Alice and George b4 she wed Parnham but in-between census's?  Got her in 51....and 61 with him...but could she have had the 2 eldest kiddies b4? or did they come with him?  Big gap in their ages for instance? And they were born different places.  But why would my GP take the middle name of Attrick if this was the case?   Its a mess....thats why its taken 5 yrs to get this far.  ???

Hi, thanks for your help...
All I have is from the wed cert: George Attrick Price 21  Bachelor Hawker from st mary's: dad George price  store dealer.   Wed: Jane Hollis 18 Spinster   st marys:  Dad Reubin hollis  trimer?

witness thomas Walker....and M A Walker   (Mary Anne?)

I know a little more about Jane, b boston abt 1858 and her family, especially on her mothers side.   I Know thats how Im related to the Cunningham family through them
On Her dads side not so much, except I think he was married before with other children but may be wrong.
its this George charactor I cant match up.  Ive been pulled with the thought he may have changed his name ie for instance there is a family fitting the bill nicely called Parnham locally: the mother was Attrick before wed.  Cant prove anything and nothing fits snugly with this man.  I found him in 1881 in yorkshire with jane, grace and andrew  (it was under Geo Price...and my g grandfather Reubin, his son, was under BinBin!! took an age to find that one. By the way he's still only abt 22 he says and its 4 yrs later. I'd just like to lay this one to rest now..anything else please ask.  Thanks  :'(
