Hi Red!
Blimey I have been away from this forum for ages and have just seen your posting. I am also researching this line - my husband's side.

Hi,

I am trying to find where and when my 4xgt Grandfather, Alexander Bibby was born. He was married to Mary Molyneux (b1801 Liverpool).

His son, William was b 1828, Liverpool. I have them on all the census records. But, I can't find anything about Alexander.

Any help would be most welcome.

Thanks,

Red :)

I do not think it is the Wigan Alexander, I have been in touch with the people researching the Alexanders born in Wigan and they are a different line. I've been searching for ages on Alexander's origin. My Bibby page at
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~juliet22/jsevans.bibby.html
will give you what I have and what I'm still looking for.

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / ST. KATHERINE BY THE TOWER Registers
« on: Friday 16 September 05 15:15 BST (UK)  »
Does anyone have access to, or know if I can get hold of the original registers of Saint Katherine By the Tower, London for the year 1750?
I am looking for the original entry of the marriage of ROGER CURTIS and SARAH SKEGGS on 18th May 1750.  I need to see if there is any indication of their parish of origin or abode - I am hoping that this Roger is from Dorset and ran away to get married.
Thanks for your help

Help, I have no idea.  If Moston is an area of Manchester then maybe.  All I know Ashley lane still exists but Little Neston Street appears not to.
As for their religion, I think they were C of E but I cannot be 100% sure as george was born in Ireland and I haven't been able to find his marriage yet.
Not much help am I?
