Looking for birth record of Lily Smith, married 13/2/1881. (To John Thomas Ronayne) Her father was William Smith, a valet. She described her age on the marriage certificate as 'of full age'. I believe the spelling of ;Lily' is correct. Thanks, 'lasswade'.

Thanks again Radcliff - the information re. RC was what I thought was correct. I believe Thomas was

been brought up in a Roman Catholic institution so perhaps I have been following the wrong trail. I

noticed he was not married (1909) in a Roman Catholic church, and wondered about that. I am very

grateful for your ( and others) research.

Thank you Heather. This is the same T.L. Barlow, born 23/5/1886 . I have lost trace of Thomas Barlow

and Annie E Wood (Barlow), also Annie after 1911. Re birth certificate - I have a typed extract, but have

sent for a copy of original.  Parents were Alice Barlow, (nee Shorrocks) and Thomas Barlow, bookbinder.

Also, I can post photos once I work out how to do so.

This was what I was told, and you are correct of course - I took someone else's word about that.

I have no knowledge about parents' deaths or grandparents. His parents were Alice Barlow, (nee

Shorrocks), and Thomas Barlow, bookbinder.

I'm waiting for a mailed  copy of the original.

Help, please.

Thomas Leopold Barlow, born 1886 Crumpsall workhouse. As an unwanted RC child, where would he

have lived? (Mother: Alice, father: Thomas). I think I found him in a Catholic boys'home in 1901, but

can't find him in 1891 census. Thank you...
