Hi,

My ancestor is David Biddlecombe christened Dec 24, 1754 in Fawley, he was married to Ann Budden christened Mar 4, 1771 Abbey Independent, Romsey, Hampshire, on Oct 9, 1796 in Romsey. Does David fit in with your Ancestors?
Their Children are Elizabeth born 1797, Charles 1799, James 1802 (married Ann Hariett born 1807 in Plaitford, Whiltshire), Mary 1805, and Christina 1809. All the children were born in Romsey.

Hi,
I too am descended from John Reynolds born Apr 10, 1789 in Padbury and Elizabeth George born 1787 in Padury.
My line runs through their son Thomas Reynolds born Dec 15, 1811 in Padbury and Rhonda Mitchell born approx 1815, and their daughter Hannah Reynolds born 1844 in Padbury and married Edwin Bull born Nov 24, 1844 and married in Sept 1866.
I would be interested in sharing information with you.

Peter,

I have not come across a Samuel Biddlecombe as of yet. Do you know who his parents would be?

Hi,

I know the following about Fred:

Fred came to Canada with Frank in 1905, worked for CPR and joined the Canadian Expidionary Forces during WW1. He stayed in England upon his discharge marrying Vera Alice Holen in Feb. 1920.

Frank was my grandfather, who died in 1950. My father Frank David, is Frank's oldest son. He had 5 children: Frank David, Arthur Frederick, George Ian, Evan James, and Marjorie Ann. All are living with the exception of Evan James, who died in 1979.

I would be very interested in communicating with you.

hi  little nell and frances,

thank you fr the information. I didn't have his christening date and appreciate it.
In the 1851 census Alfred could have been living on his own, but I appreciate the help.
I have information on him from the 1881 census and know that after that he and family moved to Padbury, Buckinghamshire.

Wales / Re: Ko(e)rner

I have 1807 as John William Ko(e)rner's birth year.  He married Elizabeth Bruce Anderson born Oct. 25,1826 in Kirkaldy, Fife, Scotland, on June 12, 1845, in Barony, Lanark, Scotland.
Children are: Mary Louisa Charlotte born Mar 12, 1847 in Glasgow
Charles Henry born 1849, died 1929 Glasgow
Caroline Estelle born Dec 22, 1854 in Barony, Lanark who married WW Davenport Adams on Oct 19, 1875 In Glasgow. WW Davenport Adams wrote several books, in fact I managed to obtain a copy of With Poet and Player, published in 1891.
Frank Edward born Aug 28 1857 died 1857 Glasgow
Alexandrina Amy born Nov30, 1861 Glasgow

I have a copy of John and Elizabeth's marriage registration, but that does not give a place of birth for John.

I also know that John was a teacher of Languages, one being German.

Does this help?

Wales / Ko(e)rner
« on: Monday 15 August 05 09:15 BST (UK)  »

Hi,

I am not sure of a county, but I am looking for any information someone may have regarding John William Ko(e)rner. He was married in Scotland in 1848, but I cannot find anything on his birth in Scotland. Someone suggested that I try Wales as Ko(e)rner is a German name and a lot of German's settled in Wales before they moved on to other countries.

If anyone can help it would greatly appreciated.
