Hi
I am researching the Byrne family Marsh road Drogheda and in particular Annie Byrne Circa 1903 married 1925 to Bernard Buckley circa 1902 and wonder if this could be connected to your Buckley family?

Kincardineshire / Re: Findlays of Fetteresso

Dear John
I am sorry I am unable to offer any help in connecting your Findlay relatives. I have no Findlay's in my family tree. Although I have several Duthie lines I have as yet been unable to make a Findlay connection. There is a Duthie connection with Ann Duthie and William Findlay but she is not one of my Duthie so far.
I have looked at your Findlay's and it appears one set of relatives originate in Ayrshire as far back as 1783 and the other in Kincardine going back to 1752.
I wish you every success in your research.

Hi
Thank you for your help.
My connection with the Boylan family is with my  Great Grandmother Mary Boylan Circa 1838 who married Philip Owens and had 12 children including my Grandmother Agnes Owens. Mary's parent were Patrick Boylan and Mary Magork. Patrick and Mary had 5 children including a son Christopher circa 1845 who married Ann Lacey and had 3 children James, Thomas and Peter. I have been unable to find out any information on Thomas and Peter. However there was a Peter Boylan married in Ardee in 1896.
Although I have all births and sponsors from 1823-1847, there are 22 families of Boylans all inter entwined with the sponsors so it is difficult to make sense of who are who's brothers. Have you had any luck in that direction?
Many Thanks.

Kincardineshire / Isabella McDonald married George Duthie
« on: Monday 22 November 10 12:38 GMT (UK)  »
I have a George Duthie and Isabella McDonald Circa 1822/1823 in my family tree with a daughter named Jessie born in 1857 who was married in 1882 to Daniel Mooney who was my great great grandfather . On their marriage certificate it states that George Duthie is the father and occupation  as Master Mason mother maiden name as Isabella McDonald and deceased.  On the Census of 1861 it has a George Duthie  Born in Fortwilliam and Isabella born in Argyle.I am especially interested in Isabella McDonald who was supposed to be a direct decendent from the Glencoe McDonalds. My mother was very proud of her Glencoe connections but I can't find them . It's guesswork after that as to who her parents were.
Would anyone have any information that would help.hanks Joan
