Could anyone help with the following or give me an explanation to the following.I am researching my bennett family and ive come across these 2 entries in ancestry 1881 census joseph bennett b ormskirk 1858 wife mary,a.bennett, b hatton warickshire. living at 6a old meeting st w bromwich, daughter harriet aged 3yrs b liverpool, daughter rosehannah aged 1yr born w,bromwich.joseph employed as a barman.
1891 census joseph bennett b ormskirk 1858 wife dinah bennett b hatton warickshire
living at 13 sheep st (the anchor inn) birmingham employed as licensed vitualer,
children annie aged 13 b liverpool. elizabeth aged 9, joseph aged 7,both born birmingham
It seems a very strange coincedent but not impossible for them to be one and the same person as ormskirk is only a small place and much smaller I would presume in the 1850's, another point when inputting my information before the search, I input the exact same for the 1881 census as for the 1891 census including mother and fathers given names.
birth date and place of birth. so if anyone has any explanation I would be most grateful to hear it,And I can only find 1 joseph bennett b aughton/ormskirk in the 1861 census, only 1 in the 1881 census and 1 in the 1891 census. I don't know the pre marital surname of mary a, or dinah.
