« on: Monday 02 May 11 08:38 BST (UK)  »
Agatha Cussons married Frederick Ambrose Taylor 1915 and they lived at 19 Cadogan Street Middlesbrough. He was born in Loftus Yorkshire  in 1896(sometimes given as 1895)but had lived in South Africa before returning in 1913 .He worked as a marine engineer for Richardsons Westgath Co ltd in Commercial street before joining the Royal Flying Corps and served in France as  a Pilot .They had a daughter in 1918 called  Merle. But after that the trail goes cold.
Agatha dies in a shooting accident and  is buried on 3/12/1918 at St Georges Church .The cortege left from her parents home  16 parkgate  Croydon Road.
Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks

South Africa / Death oh Madge Natalie Taylor
« on: Saturday 16 April 11 07:53 BST (UK)  »
I would like to find the estate file of Madge Natalie Taylor nee Chapman.

Thanks to Derek I obtained her husbands  file  (Nab source Msce,01,Leer Vol o ref 2585/1953 George Hodgson Taylor  born 1908 Johannesburg dies 1953).

But despite a joint will and various papers  in the file nothing about her death . No idea when she died. At the time of her husbands death, their 2 children were minors(George Walter and Madge Jean but don't know when born) Have looked on Naairs but drawn a blank. Wonder if she remarried.?
Any help in tracking down a ref for her file or any other information would be appreciated.
Many thanks.

He told his  son that he went out  in the 1920s.His wife and family did not go with him. Alas no letters etc survive from that time. Also stories of running goods across the boarder to America during Prohibton. No idea when he came back to England .But he is in England by 1937 when he remarries.

hi Derek
many thanks. I think the first entry for George Hodgson Taylor is fredericks brother. I take it the entry relates to his marriage or is it a death record. ? for his wife ?Sorry not good at this. I ask because I would like to order the file.
thanks

Hi
Yes Frederick Ambrose was born 1896 in loftus. He and his mother are still there on the 1901census. So best Guess is between 1901 and 1907--given his brother George Hodgson is born 1908 In SA. His father went out around 1900. George Taylor is said to be born Hinderwell 1869 but sometimes Runswick comes up on the census. Not aware of another name.Worked as aRailway  Engine Driver. His wife Louisa Margaret was born 1872 in Staithes Yorkshire.

George Taylor senior remarries around 1931 ( his first wife died 1922 and I have her file.) We do not know to Whom  George married or when he actually died but we think this was  after 1938. Interested in any details of this family  Including Frederick's brother --as we only realised he had  a brother once we had Louisa estate file. But in particular we are keen to find out about Frederick. He served in the Royal Flying Corps and we assume over France -but can not find his records. We know he also served in Iraq but we think this was in 1920 .

Interested in any information--Thanks
