am looking for Dean Brittain born 1840 in Hull. it seems they moved to Northumberland.

i am assuming he would be with his parents joseph marshal BRITTAIN b. 1803 blacktoft and Hannah BRITTAIN.

could someone please have a look for william Marshal BRITTAIN b. 1844 in the 1951 census.

he would probably be with his mother elizabeth. (father died in 1846 so not sure where they would be possible with her second husband john SIMS???)

possible sibblings would be dean BRITTAIN b. 1838 & Elizabeth Brittain b. 1840.

hello again,

Am looking for the following family in the 1861 census.

George HART and Mary HART (parents) 

George HART (Son) b. march 1840 Islington Clerkenwall.
he didn't marry till 1864 so i think he should be there.

assuming that they were in the navy or seaman trades.


the only other dates i have for the parents say c. 1815-1820 but i have no idea why my great aunth wrote that dowm it may e their marriage record dates???

any help appreciated

am trying to work out a stray marriage and need to find walter ASHBRIDGE in 1901.

i am assuming he would be in Hull.

walter Gilbert Crackles ASHBRIDGE b. 1876 in HULL.
probable occupation: some sort of seaman

probably living with:

Richard Crackles b. 1836


or if he has married:

a Mary ann b around the same time in New Zealand

hello all,

one of my relative ran away to london to get married... (apparantly) that is the family legend anyway. all the way from New Zealand as well !!!

can anyone help me find the record of the marriage ???

His hame was Walter Gilbert Crackles ASHBRIDGE b around 1876 in HULL yorkshire,

he married: Mary ann HART b. probably New Zealand around the same date.

his name is fairly original so that may help.

the stories go that they were married in london...

it would have been after 1891 as he wa in Yorkshire for the census..


any help greatly appreciated. with this very difficult quest.

i have just posted a message about her marriage, but mabey i can find her in the census data.

Florence Elizabeth PATRICK born  27 mar 1888 Waltham (although BMD says West Ham)

she would be three in the 1891 census (thereabouts) can anyone find likely matches???

would be very grateful for any help. have just found photos o this person last night and am desperate to place her in history. she is proving very difficult.

my nana it seems has torn the information out of the photo albums!!!

hello everybody,

i know i have asked about this person before but i still am no closer to finding the marriage of my great grandmother.

i found several photos of her for the first time last night, and am desperate to learn about her.

her name is Florence Elizabeth Patrick (as given on her birth certificate)
born 1888 possibly Waltham (handwriting is difficult)

married to Harry Edwards Ketley (marriage for him on BMD is not to Patrick.)

family history suggest that they were certainly married and it would have been before 1916 when Albert Crawford KETLEY was born. their one and only child. (not sure why)


any help suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
