hello all,

HAve just been reading over some posts in the common room (never been here before) and have decided that i better get some adivce before i start to order certificates from england.

what is the best way of going about this (ok the cheepest way of going about this)

an earlier post suggested the GRO at 7 pounds when ordered over the internet with a reference number provided. does this sound about right to all of you???

is there anywhere elce that i can get the information from?

any help appreciated, personally i'd rather just pop into London (or whereever) and have a hunt myself, but.... rather an expensive journey for a uni student who live in Brisbane, Australia.

thanks for any advice,
sarah

they were married in 1859 so they should be there in 1861

the family is normally around Hull Holy Trinity and  St Nicholas Church Great Yarmouth if that helps.

he grew up at row 4 Great Yarmouth if that helps as well.
