Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Baptism Entry in Latin
« on: Saturday 30 April 16 09:47 BST (UK)  »
Would anyone please be able to help deciphering the entry dated 1727 for the parents in this Austrian Catholic baptism register.

The register comes from Niederrussbach just northwest of Vienna.

Thanks

Richard

Would anyone be able to look up two possible burials in Wall (near Shenstone) which aren't yet available in the Staffordshire Collection on Find My Past.

Emma MARSON = d. Q1 1853
Thomas MARSON = d. Q1 1862

Thanks,

No worries, on the contrary, happy to share. Details are as follows:

In the 1841 census, the details are HO107, Piece = 1050, Book/Folio = 5/12, Page 16
In the 1851 census, the details are HO107, Piece = 1567, Book/Folio = 360, Page 29

Mary Allen nee Baron [sometimes stated as Barnes] first had an illegitimate child called Jane [father unknown but baptised in Sidmouth] before she got married to William Allen [in Bath].

By William Allen she had the children: Thomas Baron [bap. 1832], Emily [bap. 1836], Charles [1837], Isabella [1839], and Frances [1841].

By George Sinden [present twice on the above 1851 census], she had William George [1847], Mary Jane [1849] and Henry Augustus [1851].

George later had a child by his "stepdaughter" Emily in 1863 and then married her in 1870.

I think she was probably baptised in 1807.

Thanks all for your suggestions and information.

I wrote to Bedford archives and they already came back to confirm that he was indeed buried in the cemetery but that there was no record for the wife, Sarah. She died while living with her daughter over in Eye, Hereford, so I guess that's the next logical place to check.

I was wondering would anyone know how I could confirm whether or not two of my ancestors were buried in Turvey Cemetery [I understand the churchyard was essentially closed in [1871].

Thomas WOODING died in Turvey on 18 Sep 1873; and his wife
Sarah WOODING died on 8 May 1888.

Any help much appreciated

The husband was William Allen, a Butler. He's not with her in any of the censuses.

Any suggestions on the below would be most welcome.

I'm looking for the death of a Mary ALLEN [bap Sidmouth, Devon 1807] who seems to have died btw 27 July 1851 and 1863, likely in the Camberwell / Newington area.

She appears in the 1841 census in Camberwell.
She appears in the 1851 census in Newington.
I cannot find her or indeed most of her children in the 1861 census.
By the 1871 census, her estranged husband is stated as being a widower.
In 1863, Mary's "lover" [whom she left her husband for] has had a child with her daughter [by the lawful husband] in Croydon.

Working on the balance of probability, I've found 15 or so death index records for Lambeth, Newington, Camberwell and Croydon RDs for the period concerned and I've eliminated a few through the burial records on Ancestry / Deceased Online but am no closer to establishing which might be her death. Would anyone have any pointers?

Much appreciated
