If I have a grave number of Basford Cemetery, which is the best place to find out who is in that grave? Do I need to contact the Nottingham Council or would someone have it on CD?
Family name is Johnson and grave number is 4723

Yes I did mean the Corporation and the time scale would be the 50/60's.
I'll contact the council as suggested

thanks for your help.

Hi

My great grandfather was a night watchman for the "cooperation", could I get his work information from Nottingham City Council? He basically kept an eye on housing estates being built at night to prevent thieves.

Also would they provide this info if they can under the freedom of information act?

thanks in advance for any help

Can any advise where Walter Goddard is buried? He died June 1921.  Also if he is buried with anyone.

thanks

Hi LizzieW

Who did you ask?, and am wondering if its worth writing to one of these companies which were shown to ask the question.

I watched the programme Heir Hunters for the first time yesterday morning and noticed that when they started their research that one of the "hunters" reached for the 1911 census book he had on a shelf. Right beside it was a book which said Census 1921.  Do these researchers have access to the 1921 census and if so why?, as from what I could see they were doing research for a commision i.e. profit.

Beth.
