There is a Starr Avenue in Toledo. Not a nice thought, could the disposal refer to remains being kept in an anatomical museum.

NLS use IIIF (International Image Interoperability Framework) to display their images. It saves them reinventing the wheel as IIIF have already developed methods for displaying images.

The Common Room / Re: Searching for plan of Bathgate graveyard

The plan that goes with the CDs from which the FindMyPast records are taken from gives rough locations of the sections. the burial you are looking for is in the oldest part called Paulville. Coming from the entrance from Whitburn Road section K is to the right and in front of you, from Glasgow Road and the car park go straight through the part called Johnston and walk straight up to nearly the top, section K is on your right. this part of the cemetery is a bit of a jumble of graves luckily the headstones have been numbered on the base. Most (if not all) the headstones have been photographed and are on FindAGrave or BillionGraves, there is nothing for Andrew on either site.

Although it is now in West Lothian it was originally in Edinburghshire / Mid Lothian and would come under Mid Calder. The border runs along the Caw Burn.

Lanarkshire / Re: Help with a registratn district???
« on: Sunday 16 September 18 21:24 BST (UK)  »
Probably under Bothwell 625/1. When the registration districts were created in 1855 they were based on (mainly) the existing parishes. Uddingston and Tanochside were/are in Bothwell parish. The parish was actually split in two 625/1 covering Bothwell and 625/2 covering Holytown, these district were in use between 1855 and 1963. Looking at the 1891 street index (https://www.nrscotland.gov.uk/files//research/census-records/street-indexes/1891/1891-bothwell.pdf) Uddingston and Tannochside were in Bothwell 625/1/.

Looking at the 1901 Census there are no entries for Belstane Road although there could be a transcription error.

Having had a "walk" through the census on Ancestry I think Honeybank Road is Belstane Road. Previous to Honeybank Road is Dyke Row and following is Chapel Street see
NLS maps for their location at https://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/#zoom=17&lat=55.7389&lon=-3.8336&layers=168&b=5. The problem is Newbarns is in enumeration district 2 and Honeybank Road is in enumeration district 3, Chapel Street is also in enumeration district 2 which may mean that enumeration district 3 covers the east side of the road. To confirm the location you will need to look at the description of the enumeration district at the beginning of the book, I am unsure how you can view this on ScotlandsPeople now as there used to be a button for this which does not appear now.

It did take some finding. First I found an entry Darling's Brae on the 1881 Census and then worked backwards then forwards to find the streets before and after. I then started to look at the maps on NLS the 25 inch and 1/1250 georeferenced did not show it, I then used the street plans listing and eventually found it.
