Thanks L'Nell and CEP - that makes everything a lot clearer.

I'm quite sure thats my Elizabeth and her father is  Duran/Durin. She lived to be 88 which was quite impressive in itself as she outlived her husband and 4 of 6 children.

I'm pretty excited about that.  She was quite particular about putting her name as Elizabeth Sarah so I am claiming Duran as mine! Many thanks for your time.

I must order that certificate !

Hi Gill:

Just saw your posting.  I have traced my Tovey Line from 1770 in Bedminster and a lot of  the descendants / siblings  -  some of which moved to Wales (or could have been from there orignally!)  I have a few in the in the census.  Could you give me some more details as I have quite a few Charles / Charley Toveys and about 140 Toveys all together .

Regards,

Hi Wmouse

Little Nell pointed out your posting to me - My Biddlecomb(e)'s are from Eling, Hants.  I am interested in your David and Ann Biddlecombe as I have a record from the 1841 census showing them with 2 of their married children and their children.

David is 65-70/Y
Ann/65-70/Y

I am wondering what information  you have about them, or if they could be the same as mine.  Also - one of their sons wives was from Dunhead Wiltshire.

Hi Little Nell:

Thanks for your reply  nd its never too late ..I'm really excited to see your posting, thank you for taking the time to do that.  The Biddlecombe side of my family is the most neglected.  That birth date fits in exactly with her death certificate which took me about a year to get the correct one.

Her marriage cert has DAVID as her fathers name, but I suspect that is either a transcription error or her doing.   I must admit, searching for Duran in the census his name does look like David.

I did find an IGI record but it was submitted showing her as born 09 July 1821(?) father was Duran but his wifes birth place was also incorrect and so I was unsure of it.

Also, somebody else looked up all the Biddlecomb(e) 's in Eling in the 41 census for me and found this family living at Authors Lane (Arthers Lawn):

Duran Biddlecomb 50/55 Ag Lab y
Mary /50-55 Y
Elizabeth / 18 y
William / 14 y
William 40-45 / Ag lab /Y
Hannah 45/Y
Jane/15 Y
Hannah/15/Y
Ann/10/Y
David/65-70Y
Ann/65-70Y

This looks like 2 sets of siblings with children and their parents,  David and Ann as Duran is actually 51 and Mary 53 if you go by the census of 1851.

I would love any more information you have found on Siblings, I really appreciate it.

I will send Wmouse an email too re the David/Ann Biddlecombe possible connection

Thank you very much!

Many Thanks
