Hi, I have just started looking into the Robinson Family.  Margaret Jane is my paternal grandmother.  Peter (or John or William) and Margaret ROBINSON (DRURY) are my gg grandparents.  Peter is very hard to follow as on the "Neva" his is recorded as John, on the registration of their marriage he is Peter and on his sons death registration he is William.  I sometimes wonder if it is the same person.  Their marriage is at St John's Church (Anglican), Launceston, Tas 24 Jan 1836, from church record at Tasmanian Archives micro-film.
As you know their son Henry William was born in George Town, Tas 17 Feb 1844, married Hannah PATTERSON  24 Jan 1870 in Seymour, Vic. He die 11 Jul 1924 in Seymour and is buried in the Seymour Pioneer Cemetery. They has 15 children (7 sons & 8 daughters) and Margaret Jane is is their 2nd child.  She also had 15 children from 2 marriages.  My father Henry Joseph MALHAM was the 10th from her marriage to John MALHAM.
I have not trace Peter ROBINSON etc. anywhere after their marriage except his name was recorded at one stage as Peter ROBERTSON as well.  I believe he was a seaman as he was an apprentice on the "Neva" and might have worked out of George Town.  I have traced a Margaret ROBINSON leaving for Port Phillip on a steamer "Shamrock" from George Town 21st May 1865.  Not sure if it is the correct one.
Quite a lot of ex-convicts traveled to Port Philip, mainly Geelong under the GEELONG AND PORTLAND BAY, Emigration (Immigration)Society scheme in the mid 1800's so it could be her.
Still we go on searching.
