House numbers have only been recorded on 1/1250 maps since 1946, and on basic scale 1/2500 maps since 1955. and not before then. What date are you looking at?

Hi,

A relative was, according to the 1861 Census, working for Trinity House as a 'Keeper and Sender'.

Gordon

What is his name and where was he in 1861?
The occupation "Keeper and Sender" does not appear in 1861 according to FindMypast

Under the Factory and Workshop Act  1901 Act no child could be employed under fourteen years of age without a certificate of proficiency in reading, writing and arithmetic. A child thirteen years of age may be employed full time if he/she had a certificate of proficiency, or of "previous due attendance at a certified efficient school. DTC could mean Due Attendance Certificate. Although PDAC is usually used for Previous Due Attendance Certificate.

The Northampton Mercury of 26 January 1828 has a brief mention:

"Thos.Jeffs - for violently assaulting and attempting to commit an unnatural crime upon Saml. Clarke of Titchmarsh - No Bill. "

‘no bill’:  to reject as unfounded or having insufficient evidence.
