Hi I am seeking the parents and grandparents names of Miss Margaret Campbell.

I'm told she was born about 11 May 1731 in Houstry Dunbeath Caithness.
An early letter from a Campbell relation in 1915 states Miss Margaret Campbell was related to the Sinclair's of Dunbeath?

24 August 1749 In Houstry Miss Margaret married Mr William Campbell. He was born 1722 in Lethem, Fife of William Campbell & Ann Douglas.

William & Margaret Campbell's children are,

Janet Campbell b. 1750 Latheron, d. 1837 Path-head Fife, age 87 unmarried.
William Campbell b. 1752 Dornoch, d. 1753 Latheron, age 1
Anne Campbell b. 1754 Cromarty, d. 1850, Arbroath, age 96 m. William Byers
James Campbell b. 1756 Cromarty, d. 1758 Cromarty, age 2
John Campbell b. 1758 Cromarty, d. 1828 in NEW YORK USA, age 70
Elizabeth Campbell b. 1760 Nairn, d. 1839, Arbroath age 79 m. Robert MacKay
Alexander Campbell b. 1762 Nairn, m 1792 Banff to Elizabeth Dick, died 1813 Arboath, age 51
James Campbell b. 1764 Nairn, d. 1775 Aberdeen, age 11, Cause of Death: Small Pox
Margaret Campbell b. 1766 Nairn, d. 1777 Aberdeen, age 11, Cause of Death: Small Pox,
Murdock Campbell b. 1768 Forres, d. 1800 India, age 32, Cause of Death: fever, 73rd Regiment of Foot; Surgeon
Captain William Douglas Campbell b. 1770 Forres, d. 1827 NSW Australia, age 57, unmarried.

William & Margaret Campbell both died in Aberdeen in 1810.

Hi I have a William Douglas Campbell born 1796 that married Alexa Rennie in 1841 at Forfar, Angus. She was born in Angus  about 1789/1801 the daughter of James Renny & Anne Fitchet.

Any connection to your Rennie?

Hi, .....don't yet know who the parents are?
I did some more digging today and found a little more info.

I think George was born abt 1792 in Auchterderran, FIFE and died possibly in Abbotshall, FIFE but date unknown.
His wife Mary also born in Auchterderran about 1796.

I hope this is usefull?

Hi, I am looking for my Anderson family members born in Scotland.

My ancestor George Anderson married Mary Mackay Or Mackie on 20 May 1815 in St Cuthbert's, Midlothian,
Edinburgh, Scotland.

Children from this marriage were:

i. David Anderson was born on 7 January 1818 in Auchterderran. . Fife. Scotland.
ii. James Bayne Anderson was born on 15 May 1820 in Auchterderran. . Fife. Scotland.
iii. Alexander Anderson was born on 22 March 1824 at Abbotshall, , Fife, Scotland, was
christened on 18 April 1824 at Abbotshall, , Fife, Scotland, died on 21 March 1910 in District
Hospital Cowra, New South Wales, Australia at age 85, and was buried on 22 March 1910 in
Presbyterian Cemetery Cowra, New South Wales, Australia.
iv. Andrew Anderson was born on 13 February 1828 at Abbotshall, , Fife, Scotland and
died on 9 April 1891 in Kirkcaldy, Fife, Scotland at age 63.
v. Moncrieff Anderson was born at Abbotshall, , Fife, Scotland and was christened on 14
August 1831 at Abbotshall, , Fife, Scotland.

Hi Diane, I am looking for death records of my family members and need some help/advice please.

Ann Douglas born abt 1702 in Cavers Roxburgshire, married 1721 in Fifeshire, died unknown.
Husband was William Campbell born Cavers abt 1696 in Cavers Roxburgshire, died unknown.
Their son William was born 1722 in Letham Fifeshire, married 1749 in Houstry, Dunbeath, & died 1810 Aberdeen.

I can't seem to find any records for Ann & William's date and place of death.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Hi, I have an ancestor named James Sinclair Campbell. He was christened 23 OCT 1796 at Saint Nicholas, Aberdeen.  Would he be related in some way to any of your Sinclair's or Campbell's?

James Sinclair Campbell's father was Alexander Campbell he was born about 1762 in Nairn & his mother was Elizabeth Dick born abt 1770 in Nairn, they married abt 1792 in Banff & died 1834 in Edinburgh.

Alexander Campbell was an Officer of Excise.

James's siblings are Elizabeth Campbell b.1793 Aberdeen, William Douglas Campbell b.1796 Aberdeen, Murdock Campbell b.1798 Aberdeen, Alexander Campbell b.1802, Jessie Campbell b.1804 & Robert Mackay Campbell b. 1806 in Edinburgh.

My family line is via William Douglas Campbell above, William married about 1821 in Forfar, Angus to Alexa Rennie she was born abt 1798.

William Douglas Campbell was also an Officer of Excise.

William & Alexa's children are Ann Campbell b.1824 Forfar, Angus, Elizabeth Campbell b. 1825 Dunfermline, Fife, William Campbell b. 1826 Dunfermline, Fife, James Rennie Campbell b. 1828 Scoonie, Janet Campbell b, 1829 Scoonie, Renny Campbell b. 1831 Scoonie, Ann Campbell b.1832 Scoonie, Robert Campbell b 1835 Dysart & Robert Murdock Campbell b 1838 Dysart.

I am looking for any of their descendants in Scotland.
