Census and Resource Discussion / New look Ancestry
« on: Friday 18 December 15 17:26 GMT (UK)  »
Hi

Sorry if there is already a post but I can't find it. I logged onto Ancestry today after not using it for a while and it is a new look, I thought we had the option of using the old or the new however I can't find this anywhere, does that mean that I am stuck with what I have at the moment?

Regards
Kevin

Hi

In 1891 census William Hills is living with them, it says father however I think it should say father in law, born Borden Kent the same as Lizzie who was born abt 1856.
1861 census has a William Hills, wife Ann Hills and several children including Elizabeth Hills born abt 1857 all in Borden Kent.

From newspaper regarding his injury in WW2 mothers name was Mrs I Timson.

Marriage

Could be that he was illegitimate.
