Is their anyway to find the names of soldiers that belonged to "Lachlan McQuarie" he went to India ab: 1806 & and also picked up servants that travelled on with him,
I am looking for "Amos Hoppo" he joined him in India and went to Australia with him and his regiment, any help appreciated, thankyou

Other Countries / Looking for Amos Hoppo

Hi,
I am looking for " Amos Hoppo ", it is said in the family he was born in Ceylon, but left on a Ship with
Govenor McQuarie for Australia & arrived there in 1809.

I am truly stuck, can anyone help or give me ideas on how to go about finding information please,
I thought the name Hoppo may have originated more from Germany, but then I may be wrong

Hi,
Can anyone tell me please is it possible to get a record of an Army pension for 1814

also wondering if their is a possibility of getting an Army Record for 1800 -- 1814

also is the Church of York Hospital Room, in South Chelsea belong to the Chelsea Hospital

I am looking for info; on Benjamin Suggitt, he was in the Army in the 3rd Fooot Guards in London, I don't think he went away as he always seemed to be having children born,
he was born in Yorkshire, married in Hampshire & moved & lived in London, presumably with the Army,
Any help very much appreciated

Can anyone tell me how to find information on a soldier through the National Archives please, I can get into the sight but can't open it for any information,
I am looking for
Benjamin Suggitt, born ab;1777 in Yorkshire
I am not sure when he joined up but was discharged ab; 1813/14, & seved in 3rd Foot Guards
He died 1842 in Church of York Hospital Room, South Chelsea, Middlesex, any help appreciated

I am looking for the name "Hoppo"
I am looking for Amos Hoppo, he went to Australia about 1809, from Sri Lanka, he had one son, have not been able to find a wife, and I have not been able to find the name Hoppo in India or Sri Lanka at all but have found the name in Germany, would anyone know of this name at all please, and where it may have originated from
