I'm curious about Black Brook, was it a house or a street? Researching my ancestors and they lived there in the 1841 and 1851 census. Thanks

Well that's strange you would figure she would be buried with her husband.

Yes I believe that is the correct one. I did find them in the 1881 census living at 454 Gorton Rd Reddish, Lancashire. She was 50 years old in 1881,  her daughter Ellen Linsey, son William and grandson James Linsey along with her husband John.

Ok her name is Catherine Bell, I don't know her maiden name. She was born abt 1833 in Ireland or England. The one I came across has her death being in 1892 in Manchester. Her husbands name was John Bell

Thank you both for the responses. It is a death I'm looking for and I'm not sure it's the correct one. I have no idea what church they went to. The joys of research lol thanks again

Ireland / Re: John Bell b 12/25/1858

I'm pretty they were Catholic, my mother said she remembers there was conflict in the family because Johns son Charles (my grandfather) married a protestant. This was in the mid 1930's, John (Ireland) died in 1910. His wife passed  away in 1930. So I'm assuming one or more of his siblings had a problem with it.
As for his dads occupation it's listed in the 1861 census as a tool fitter for mechanics, in the 1871 and 1881 he is listed as an annuitant. After 1881 I have lost them, nowhere to be found. I knew this would be hard and where I'm from Boston, MA certainly doesn't help.  Thank you for responding.
