Northumberland Lookup Requests / GOULD MARRAIGE CERT
« on: Sunday 16 July 06 22:43 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for the marraige cert of William James Gould b.1874 to Hannah b.1875. His Father James was born in 1856 somewhere in Ireland . We are hoping that the cert will shed some light on him .
Many thanks

Hi everyone
Got to pimlico ok only to find no 30 has been knocked down and a carpark stands in its place ::)
Anyway got great pictures of the rest of the street which starts again at 40 odds . One with the usual woman hanging out the window wanting to know what the hell I was doing out in the pouring rain taking pictures of an ole row of houses .  :D
No time to look at any parish records as I had a tantrum throwing 2 year old and hungover 36 year in the car . Better luck next time

Dunbartonshire / Re: Station Street Renton

Hi Claire

Unfortunatley all those streets have been flattened and redone . There is a huge regeneration plan going on in Renton . It was very run down but is looking great these days . Unfortunatley that means there is not alot of old housing left . Anyway , will do my best to get some images for you in the next couple of weeks . With work and looking after two boys ( my 2 year old and my husband )  ::)I dont get much time to go to the library ! Dumbarton Library has a website with the heratige section , Icant remember if Renton is included but check it out . Speak soon

Dumbarton Library has some great books with images of Dumbarton and Renton at the turn of the century . You could try there , it has a local history/family tree section which is really interesting . If you cant manage along I could try to get you some images next time I am in . My Dads family are all from Renton so it holds interest for me too .

Thank you for the reply . I am a Toal too through marraige . Does Darragh figure anywhere in your tree ? James and Rose married in Dumbarton 1900 . Their son Patrick is my Husbands Grandfather . I know Patrick is a popular name but families did pass on names through the generations . Let me know what you think .
Look forward to hearing from you soon

Hi
This probably isnt much help but Johnstone is in Paisley , Renfrewshire . Its on the same side of the River Clyde as Port Glasgow . Dumbarton is across the water . Have you tried Sctlands People ?
