The Common Room / Could go nuts.. census hunt
« on: Saturday 16 September 17 05:30 BST (UK)  »

1841 census
William Castle born abt 1816 Radford
       Sarah Castle  born     1821 Radford
       Mirah Castle born 1839         Radford

I have the family in the other census  .  They ended living in Staffordshire. eg 1851 Pelsell

Married Jun 1839 Rushall Staffordshire

His father was Joseph Castle and Sarah father was    William Sparkes

There is a Joseph Castle with a son William in 1841 census but as  there is no Sarah or Mirah figure this isn't his family   '. Mirah has variety of spellings

I have in my notes William Castle with William and Charlotte    ( I presume  Sparkes as they are his wife parents) Very clever of me not having more details, was done in my early days of researching.. sighhhhhh

For the life of me I can not find that record again

Soooo if any one can put me out of misery be most grateful.

Thanking you

I was on FamilySearch. org  and I found a marriage  George Chappell and Lidia Surfleet
I only noted I had found it but didn't transcribe any details !!!! Of course I can not find it again can I. They  married  abt 1829 Nottinghamshire/ Lincolnshire. I have their first child John BP 1829. George was BP 1803 Nottinghamshire and Lidia ( Lydia) BP 1806 Lincolnshire.
If anyone can find that marriage, I be most grateful

HELP Plzzzzzzzz Lancashire

I am trying to trace more on Bertha Stafford Lowther who married Myles Ashburner Atkinson in 1908 in Lancashire. The cert has her father Amos Hodgson Lowther  Innkeeper.
Amos married Jane Stafford in 1892 Ulverston District

in 1939 register Bertha has DOB  7 May 1889

I have not been able to find  her in any census or the 3 of them in 1901 or 1911. I thought perhaps her mother was either single or a widow  when she had Bertha.

Any thoughts, ANY help be much appreciated
