London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / LANE Mdx 1849
« on: Saturday 20 March 04 16:17 GMT (UK)  »
I am looking for any information on Edward Lane who married Jennett Ann Nelson on 14th May 1849 at St Pancras church. This was his second(?) marriage and his father was also called Edward Lane profession Gentleman.
The younger Edward is variously described as a Cheesemonger or Provisions merchant.
Children from above marriage were Edward, William N, Jennett A, Isabel, Florence, Sarah, Kate and Beatrice .
Whereabouts in 1871 Census would be greatly appreciated if anyone can do that for me.

Looking for Francis George Stride and family who came from Frome in Somerset where he married in 1841.
By 1846 he was a member of City Police Force. Does any one know of his whereabouts in 1851 or 1861 Census?
Possibly in St Botolph or Shoreditch areas.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Somerset / SMITH Walcot 1800's
« on: Saturday 20 March 04 15:50 GMT (UK)  »
I am looking for information on a Henry Smith (bootmaker) who married Mary Ann Vallis on 10th Sept 1864 in the parish church of Walcot - I believe this was St Swithins and St Saviour.
They had 5 children that I am aware of..... Harry(1865),Ada(1867), Alfred(1863), Selina(1876), Elizabeth(1878) and Alice (1880). In 1881 Census they were living at 22 Prospect Place, Walcot.
Henry was born in Limply Stoke, Wilts abt 1840 the son of John Smith also a bootmaker.
They seem to have remained in the Bath area for quite some time although their descendents moved to S. Wales.
I would love to know where they were in 1871 Census if anyone can help?
