Would anyone consider trying to find either John Thomas DOUGHTY or his mother Ann WELLER in the 1871 York Census?

Trish was so kind as to provide the 1861 Census data for Robert Henry DOUGHTY. It would appear that he is living with his maternal grandparents in 1861.

In the 1861 and 1871 York Census, a relative gave his occupation as 'bone crusher' and 'master bone crusher'. What would this entail?

Thanks for your help!

Edward OATES was possibly born about 1808-1810. He married Margaret. It is thought that they may have had a daughter named Nellie and lived in York City.

Would anyone be willing to look for them in the 1851 Census?

Thank you!

More DOUGHTY's...

This could be a challenge as very little informaton known about this chap and his family.

John DOUGHTY born about 1811 married Mary and had a son John born about 1850. I am presuming that they lived in the city of York.

Can this family be found in the 1851 Census?

Thank you!

Mary

This is a longshot and so will understand if no one wants to undertake this one.

My great-aunt married Henry J. POPE who was, according to their marriage record, born in London, England. His tombstone indicated that he was born May 01, 1867. He can be found living in Canada in the 1881 Census - but not with any POPE's-  he is living with a Scottish family named LASKIN.

I am wondering whether he may be found on the 1871 English Census.

Thanks!

Also living with John and Elizabeth DAVISON in 1851 might be their daughter Ann who was born about 1833.

Thanks for your help!
