Australia / Judge COFFEY d (1899)

Hi,
have received some correspondence recently to suggest that my ancestor Elizabeth Klotz (nee Coffey)

Birth 10 Nov 1838 in Charlton, London, England
Death 9 Aug 1923 in Grafton, New South Wales, Australia

was a cousin of a certain Judge Coffey.

On Trove I can see this

but can't see a death for a Coffey in 1899 in NSW BDM.

Michael J Coffey ( who I am having trouble gleaning much knowledge on), and father of Elizabeth would be the uncle of Judge Coffey if this information is true, so would be very interested to learn about him and his ancestry in the hopes tht it will link to Michael.

Any further information on Judge Coffey's ancestry would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
had some success here getting a few more hints about my Coffey ancestors so thought I would try my luck again

.

Am looking for the arrival of William Wingfield

Birth 24 Feb 1834 in Willingham, Suffolk, England
Death 22 May 1911 in Casino, New South Wales, Australia

In the 1851 census, I have him in Willingham Suffolk England, residing with his parents William and Elizabeth, the next time he pops up is when he then marries Mary Jane Howden 13 June 1858 in Irishtown ( I think this is Bass Hill) in NSW Australia.

Mary Jane's details are
Birth 1839 in Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia
Death 24 Jun 1896 in Coldstream, New South Wales, Australia

In 1858 William also moves to Ulmarra on the Clarence river, he moved around the Northern Riivers of NSW a bit in later life. He is buried in Ulmarra with his wife.

Bit of a mystery as to how or why he came to be in Australia.

Any information on his arrival would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
am looking for the arrival of my ancestor Elizabeth Coffey (this gets spelt a few different ways) into Australia, most likely NSW.

Her details are Elizabeth Coffey

Birth 10 Nov 1838 in Charlton, London, England
Death 9 Aug 1923 in Grafton, New South Wales, Australia

She married a Thomas Logan on 28 May 1857 in Wooloomooloo, but not sure how she arrived.

Her parents are Michael Coffey and Harriet Emerton, am hoping the immigration record might give up some more clues.

Hi,
looking for information regarding Caroline Mary Pearson b 17 Dec 1877 and her brother Saumel Charles Pearson b 6th October 1881, both were born in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England. They immigrated with their family to Australia and eventually settled in the Casino area. Samuel was a soldier in WW1 but not sure what happened after that.

They are the children of
William Pearson
Birth 2 Mar 1848 in Tudely, Kent, England
Death 18 Jun 1930 in Casino, New South Wales, Australia

and

Ann Pearson (nee Hodge)
Birth 27 Jul 1854 in Tunbridge, Kent, England
Death 05/09/1941

there were 14 children in the family.

I am a descendant of their sister
Eliza Ann Pearson

Birth 20 June 1879 in Grafton, New South Wales
Death 02 June 1961

Other possible birthplaces, * 1838 in Berg Ahreiler Rheinland Germany , # 1838 in Birley Berg Prussia

Departed Hamburg on the 23 May 1863 "Beausite"
Arrived Brisbane 5 Sep 1863 on the "Beausite"

He married Elizabeth Logan (nee Coffey) in 1869 and they had 4 children.

Intrested in any information about Louis (Ludwig)'s parents or siblings, any information greatly appreciated.

He married a Mary, I think her last name was Grant ?

He had 2 sons Jonathan and William that immigrated to Australia, and also a Henry and Caroline.
