A transcript by Peggy Watts and memebers of CFHS has these alternatives for the surname BENTON/BENTOWN/BENTURN/BENTSON

Using Cambs. FHS search facility on their site it returns this for Mary's surname at marriage..

"BENTOWN [BT BENTURN] Mary   1660   Stow cum Quy"

I can't see a Richard Inman in the Marriage Index for 1660, his surname is transcribed as Juman...

"JUMAN Richard   1660   Stow cum Quy"

I notice a pay-site has them as Inman/Bention.

Hi

May be worth a try, I've used Shropshire FHS and the Shropshire Archives before, both have been helpful.

Good luck

Something to ponder...

There are some US voter's list records on Family Search, this one has an image, not too helpful but you get confirmation of age, occ. and country of birth.

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VTDT-V6M

There are possible arrivals, one in particular has a John Heard, age 35 [a bit out] arrival 1882.

This is a link to the arrivals..
