Redroger,
Oh how I wish I had done as you have done. Hindsight is always 20/20. I never dreamed in my early days of doing the family tree that I would get so hooked on genealogy  that I would pursue distant branches of the family tree. Alas that is the case and I now have close to 2000 people between mine and my husband's trees which are linked as I have previously stated. Should have kept them separate!!!!! Gr.... .

No it is not a problem as to who sees the tree. What I had hoped to do was put each family on a separate CD and  then send it to the family member who has asked for information. One family member is concerned that there might be difficulties with Ancestry down the road and he might not have access to the information.
Thank you to all who have given advice,  Nan

Thanks, Jim. I will try to follow your suggestion in the near future.

Hi again,
I have removed my relationship to my husband from my tree. Would it now be possible to save my family tree to a GED com file? My husband is still listed as belonging to my family tree but no shown as a part of it. (Is that clear?)How would I be able to save his tree? Oh, how I wish I had done things differently right from the beginning. My husband's tree is smaller than mine so if I can save mine I could redo his.

Thank you for replying. I am not yet using a family tree software. I would be interested in knowing which one would suit my purpose best. Relatives from both sides are interested in my research. Hence my desire to separate the trees. As I mentioned earlier I am not really computer literate. I do have a hard copy for members of our direct lines but would like to save the information on more distantly related ancestors as well. Any suggestions welcome.

Can someone please tell me if it's possible to separate trees that are linked together on Ancestry.
Thank you, Nan

When I started my family tree on ancestry, I started with my husband and me and traced our lines into the past. I now realize that I should have done the trees separately because both are now quite large. Is there any SIMPLE way to make each family an individual tree? I am technologically challenged so I repeat the request for a simple step by step explanation. I sure hope it is possible to separate the trees but realize I may have a big job ahead of me. Thank you in advance for any advice.
Regards, Nan

Hello,
I'm wondering if you could check to see if Margaret W Allan Marshall who died in Nov 1953 and her husband Robert Marshall who died in Jul 1969 are buried in this cemetery. I was told they are in lair 9661 in the Dunfermline Cemetery but not sure if that means the Leys Rd. Cemetery. Their son Robert purchased the lair in 1953 shortly before his mother's death. I would love to have a picture of their gravestone if one exists. Thank you in advance, Nan
