Trying to find information on my wife's great grandfather.
Shows on 1871 Census as William Simpson Taylor, living his mother Mary Taylor, a lodger.
Probably Mary Taylor probably not married. I suspect the father is a Mr. Simpson.
William Simpson Taylor appears again in the 1881, 1891 and 1901 census.
Hoping that information will lead to info on my wife's Grandfather, William Taylor born 1897. Can only find scant details of William the son.

Hi Christmassy,
John Owen Foy was my Great Grandad.
My Grandmother was Annie Foy - Married to Arthur Blease.
I have a copy of a reference from his employer at The Seacombe Pressed Brick and Tile Works Ltd on Poulton road, Seacombe, dated 27th July 1903.
Did you know that he also went under the name of Martin Smith?
He served in the 3rd Battallion Grenadier Guards.
This is all from a hand written note produced by my relation Kitty Taylor who is the Daughter of Catherine Foy (my Grandmothers sister) and Bob Taylor.
There is some useful information on the Foys and Costellos.
I will scan it and send to you if it may be useful to you.
John Blease
