Hi Sandra, that could be it Mr J Russell could be Harry (J) Russell as he was born in 1865 so 1892 less 27 is 1865. thank you so much. Regards Peter.

PS All I have got to do is trace this record for myself

Both the brothers above went to Canada in the 1890's I believe, however I have not found the records of their passage. I did find census records but very vague for Richard in Saskatchewan, not sure if it is correct. I then traced a census for a Richard R Russell in Toronto, this could be him if anyone can look this up and find more details than those published it would be terrific. Harry James returned to England again no trace on passenger lists that I can find.

Regards Peter Russell

No trace in UK for all that time makes me think she was living and working, now got to find out if I can get access to French census, regards Peter.

Thanks CB53, noted Claire at Castle Ryan as well as this being Charlottes UK address. Did not have the Consular Death Indices and will Google to see how and if I can get more information.

Kind regards Peter.

Yes they were sisters and Honora was born in 1861, so 1867 was wrongly transcribed, regards Peter

Thanks Kevin, I guess it's the French records that I need to find, as it does not appear that she was in the UK, regards Peter

Forgot Martha, it appears she died in East Preston in 1877 possibly still in the employ of the convent school that 2 of her siblings attended. Regards Peter.

Hi All, Fareham, Hampshire, her siblings in 1871 Charlotte aged 9 Honora aged 11 and Martha Hoey (Hary) aged 21 were at a convent school in Worthing Sussex, but could not find the name.

Regards Peter.

Hi All, it is very strange that I can't find Claire, although it seems that she does appear in Paddington in 1891, but not on the sites that I have. She does note her relative as Mrs Hoey 18 Liverpool St, Dover on the passenger list in 1910, so again I am pretty sure she is the daughter of Martha Lywood Hoey (shown as Gaer) of that address. This all ties in but the name Hoey seems to be very difficult for anyone to put down correctly anywhere.

Regards Peter.
