its worth posting this request on the Warwickshire pages as a lot of the Stourbridge district was in that county

Hi Trees

To be honest you have a hell of a complicated problem on your hands but personally I would say that as no researcher knows for certain what happened then its entirely down to you which story you follow as they both seem very credible. A good friend of mine who is a very respected researcher always says don't put anyone on your tree as a certainty until you can get the facts from 3 sources but I have to admit that this is impossible at times so we have to go with the flow & hope that our gut feelings are correct.

Im glad your back on a more even keel now as you sound like you've been through the mill in one way or another

All the very best

Phil

ps I wish there had been some info on those bastardy bonds but I went through them at least twice to make certain so don't think I missed anything important

Hi Alison

Thing nothing of it as I always like to help out if I can & I hope that you found the personal message I sent you of some slight help but I have yet to look at my research records to see if I can send you anything else that may assist you

Hi There

I'm at my whit's end & wonder if anyone local to Little Comberton can help me out - some years ago I purchased some very interesting books on Little Comberton & in one of them it refers to a roadman for the village & even shows 2 pictures of him but try as I may my own records cant find him as all the Alfred's Ive found are either living in other counties or of school age or just past it & in desperation Ive even contacted other Heeks researchers to see if they can help but have drawn a blank with all of them so I hope that someone can help with my dilemma as Id love to sort this one out as Heeks is my main line of research.

Thank you for reading this

Hi Tim

I've just had a look at the parish register images for Cutcombe identical to the registers held by Somerset Archives & here is all I could find-both are burials by the way.

Anne PRISCOTT// Langham in Cutcombe// 22JAN1814// 78 years // page 2 No 11

Elizabeth PRISCOTT// Cutcombe// 28FEEB1818// 76 years// page 6 No 43

my search went from start of 1813 to March 1824

I would imagine Susanna was known as Anne as an endearment or a shortening of her name

All the very best

Phil
