Cheshire / wilson family of runcorn/weaverham

Hello

I am looking for any descendants of my great grandfather's brother Henry Wilson, a police constable from Runcorn, and later Weaverham, in the late 19th/early 20th century.

Henry was born in Ford, Shropshire about 1855, and married Sophia Langley of Puddington, Cheshire in 1882. They had a daughter Olive and a son John. John lived at Owley Wood Road in Weaverham, and had a son who was killed in WW11.

If anyone has a connection to this family I would be pleased to hear from you.

Shropshire / Jones of St. Martins

I have been trying without success to find the family of my great grandmother Annie Jones. Annie was actually born in Wolverhampton but lived for most of her life in Dudleston Heath and in St. Martins where she had relatives.

Annie died in 1949 aged 91 years,and in her obituary her nephew Tom Jones and nieces Alice and Polly, all of St. Martins, were mentioned, as was her niece Mrs E. Baines.

Does anyone have links to these people? If so, I would love to hear from you.

Shropshire / Henry and Mary Evans

I am trying to find the marriage of my 3xgreat grandparents Henry and Mary Evans of Dudleston Heath, as I would like to know Mary's maiden name.The info I have is that Henry was born about 1800 in Ellesmere - his mother's name was Elizabeth (but don't know the name of his father), and he was a miller. Mary was born in St. Martins about 1796. Henry and Mary had 4 children- Henry born 1825, John born about 1828, Richard born about 1831, and Sarah Ann (my great grandma) born about 1836. I found the births of the children on the IGI but the marriage was not there.

If anyone can help I would be very grateful.

Hi

Does anyone have any connection to the Wilson family from Ford, Alberbury and Pontesbury? I would especially love to hear from anyone descended from any of the children of Thomas and Jane, (nee Passant) Wilson who lived at Oaks, Pontesbury. Thomas was born in Alberbury in 1814, Jane in Westbury about 1816, and they married in 1837. Their children were Ann, John, Mary, Jane, Thomas (my great grandfather), William, Eliza, Elizabeth, Henry and Emily.

I know that Henry Wilson born about 1855 moved to Runcorn and Weaverham in Cheshire and became a police constable. He married Sophia Langley of Puddington. Elizabeth married Richard Corbett of Shrewsbury and had a son, also called Richard. My great grandfather Thomas married Martha Roberts and lived in Wem and Oswestry. Their children were Ellen Jane, Emily (my grandma), Lizzie, Gertrude, Edward Victor, Henry George (Harry), and Dorothy.Would love to know what happened to the other children and whether there are any descendants out there.

Hello

Is anyone out there related to the Youell family who lived at Hulme? On the 1881 census they were living at City Road. Joseph Youell born in Harleston, Norfolk about 1849, his wife Frances, nee Roberts, and children Joseph, Richard, William Howlett, John and Benjamin. I believe that Frances died when the youngest child Benjamin was an infant and he may have been brought up by his mother's sister Jane Cousin and her family in Yorkshire. Would love to hear from anyone who may have family connections.

I know this is a long shot but I am trying to find the birth/baptism details of my great grandmother Annie Jones. On the 1881 census she was living at Whittington in Shropshire and gave her birthplace as Wolverhampton about 1858. Annie's father's name was Thomas Jones and she had relatives in St. Martins, Shropshire. Annie married Henry Chetwood and they lived at Criftins, Shropshire.
Any help would be gratefully received.

Hi

Can anyone help? I have been trying to find the birth/baptism details of my 2xgreat grandmother Jane Passant without success. On the census returns which I have checked Jane gives her birthplace as Westbury, Shropshire,and I believe that she was born about 1816. There are several Passant families in the parish registers to 1812, but until I know the name of Jane's father I am unable to establish which family she belonged to.
Any help gratefully received.
