The name Beaney crops up quite a lot in kent.  I noticed there were quite a lot in the parish registers which are on the medway city archives.   These are available free to view on the internet.

Herts Completed Lookup Requests / Re: CHAPMANS - KELSHALL/SURROUNDING AREAS
« on: Tuesday 09 August 05 19:43 BST (UK)  »
Many thanks for coming back to us so quickly.  We know that all the Chapmans in Kelshall are our ancestors.  We did have all the information from all the census returns but our computer crashed and we lost all the information. Like total idiots we had not backed up the information.

We know all about James Gibbons Chapman from when he moved to Wouldham, Kent but we are not sure about what happened to his parents. They married in 1849 at Trinity Church, St. Andrews, Holborn but we do not know when they died. James Gibbons father was Samuel Chapman. Samuels father was Daniel and Daniels father was James.

« on: Tuesday 09 August 05 19:16 BST (UK)  »
Could someone please look up the name of Chapman on census returnes for Kelshall from 1851 onwards.  I know this is a cheek but we know that my husbands ancestor was born in Kelshall but we are unsure about any other family members.

Any help very gratefully received.

We have information to share about members of the family who subsequently moved to Kent

We e-mailed Bexley Council regarding locating a burial and they replied very quickly with accurate information and made no charge. When we went to the cemetary the groundsman was more than pleased to point us in the right direction.

Kent / Re: Bellchambers of Otford or Edenbridge 1815 onwards
« on: Thursday 04 August 05 18:07 BST (UK)  »
My husbands Great Grandfather (James Gibbons Chapman) married a Charlotte Bellchambers,  in Wouldham, Kent in 1872. Her father was Charles Bellchambers and mother was Rachel.  Charlotte was born in 1852 in Ightam, Kent.
Charles was born approx 1821 in Seal/Sevenoaks area.

Rachel was dead by 1861 but Charles lived until 1891 and is buried in the churchyard in Wouldham, Kent.

Has anyone any connections to these.  We have other  limited information to share if needed.

Many thanks for the info from the 1851 census.  We know that in 1861 the son of Samuel and Charlotte was living back in Kelshall with his grandparents but find no trace of Samuel or Charlotte or the child Charlotte from the 1851census.

I am trying to find the whereabouts of man called Alfred Manwaring.  I know that he married and Ellen Allchin in Rochester in 1881 and then moved to the Belvedere area. Could someone please see if they can find him in that area on the 1891 census.

Any information would be gratefully received.
