Anglesey Lookup Requests / Grave in LLANYNGHENEDL.
« on: Sunday 04 June 06 11:56 BST (UK)  »
Is there anyone reading this who lives in or near LLANYNGHENEDL near Valley? If so --how many churches or graveyards in the village please?
I have recently found out that a great uncle of mine retired and moved to this village after living most of his life in Liverpool. I have his death cert and find that he died in Valley Hospital in 1956. In col one of the cert it says that he died in Valley Hospital and the name of the village underneath, no road or house name.
His name was William George Kitchen and died aged 70. Has anyone seen that name on a headstone while on their travels? The name Kitchen should stand out as it not being a Welsh name.
I don't even know if he was buried or cremated. Is there someone I can contact who has access to the buriel registers etc? I know who to contact re Powis but when it comes to Anglesey I am stumped!
He was a much loved Uncle of my Father and I would love to visit his grave--if only I knew where it was.
Thanking you in anticipation.

I have searched the Echo and Daily Post websites for links to old reports but all I get is Football!!
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello.
Does anyone know who I can contact about buriels in Dolhafren Cemetery in Llanidloes please?I am looking for the buriel of Thomas Woosnam in 1910. Having difficulty finding him in cemeteries in the surrounding ares (MI's from Mont Gen Soc) so we think he must have been buried at Dolhafren(sorry if I've spelled it wrongly)
I have been in person to the cemetery but can only find my own family members.
Thank you.

Surrey Completed Look up Requests / Yorke House.
« on: Monday 27 March 06 19:23 BST (UK)  »
Does anyone know anything about a Yorke House in East Molesley please? I have tried Googling it and can't come up with anything like it. A great aunt of mine lived there early 1900's and got married nearby. Her husband to be also lived there, which makes me think she was in service there, although she was a milliner and he was a master draper!!
Perhaps it was a shop?
Many thanks.

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / St Thomas's Hospital
« on: Monday 27 March 06 19:06 BST (UK)  »
Hello.
Does anyone know if there is a website dedicated to St Thomas's Hospital in Lambeth please? One of my ancestors was a patient in there on the night of the 1891 census. This is quite amazing as she was Born in Liverpool and lived a happy married life in Liverpool but ended up in hospital in London. By the next census she was back home in Liverpoo.
Has anyone got any ideas how I could find out what was the matter with her and why she was there and not at a hospital in Liverpool?
Many thanks .

Graveyards and Gravestones / Cleaning a gravestone
« on: Tuesday 03 January 06 14:53 GMT (UK)  »
Does anyone know how I should clean a white marble headstone please? It is only 17 years old but is looking a bit uncared for. It's only top dirt but is going a tad grey, and I don't want to ruin it with Cif or the like.
Many thanks and Happy New Year to all.

Cheshire / Griffith grave in Rake Lane
« on: Friday 07 October 05 12:50 BST (UK)  »
Hello Celia.
Next time you are in Rake Lane Cemetary could you please look and see if you can spot the grave of my Grandma  Florence Griffith? She died at Victoria Central Dec 1950 and was living at Castle Rd at the time. Her husband may be buried with her ---his name was Joseph Henry Griffith and he died at St Cath's in B/H Jan 1960. I think they were Presbyterian or C of E.
I know you are run off your feet, and there is no urgency about this.
Thanks very much.

Montgomeryshire / Tyddyn Farm Landinam
« on: Saturday 23 July 05 11:11 BST (UK)  »
Hello. Is there anyone out there who lives near Tyddyn Farm? If so is it possible that you could take a photo of the cottages for me----if the owner doesn't mind. I searched for it last week but got "lost".I would dearly love to see what it looks like now as some of my ancestors lived there in the 1880's.
Also there is a farm in Trefeglwys called Wainlas, does anyone know that?
Thanking you in anticipation.
Ann.
