Found the other connections to the Boyce family and the Garlands in Somerset.
Two more Boyce and GARLAND / BOYCE marriages.
I have found both of these men on 1881 census ,
believe they are brothers.

Somerset / Re: The Rossiter Family

i am quite sure there is a connection to the Boyce family in Evercreech or Ditcheat and the Rossiter family in the early 1800's in Somerset
Put Evercreech in the search engine and i am sure that there is a researcher with info there.

Wood road, treforest was classed as lantwit vaidre area which went up to pontypridd town before the boundaries changed.
There are several churches in that small area and several graves in Saron Street churchyard next to Wood Road.
I have interests in that area with the names
BOYCE, WRENCH, SEALEY,WINTLE , MANTLE. FOLLETT.HUNT.

If you are looking for the burial place you can contact rhondda cynon taf area registrars office in pontypridd and they may look for you.
The people at the Glyntaf crematorium are very helpful aswell.

I was there for 3 hourslooking through the books.

there were several mines in the pontypridd area ,
you could look in search engine for
lady windsor colliery or the albion colliery and there should be links to more welsh pit sites.

hope this helps you.

Somerset / Boyce / Boice of Ditcheat and Evercreech
« on: Thursday 05 May 05 20:38 BST (UK)  »
Would be grateful of any info on Boyce or Boice relatives in Ditcheat and Evercreech areas before 1850.
I am looking for the connection of Edward Boyce born 13 April 1843 Ditcheat to William Boyce {Boice} born 13 Oct 1816 Ditcheat.
William married Jane Walker.
This info was from IGI.
William Boyce's {boice} father was Edward Boice born 1794 Ditcheat and his mother was Mary ? of Ditcheat born 1897.
Edward Boice and Mary married in Ditcheat 1815.

I believe Edward may be the nephew of WILLIAM BOYCE 1816.
Edward is living with a female on the 1851 census who is not his parents. Although her name is Boyce.
I know from a Boyce family bible that Edward Boyce was born 13 april 1843 Ditcheat and later married Mary Ann Hill on 4 apr 1867 Milton Clevdon..
i believe that his parents may have died a young age as he is not living with them at 1851 census aged 7 listed as a pauper.

Another relative has sent for the birth certificate but i would like to get some info of the Boice / Boyce families between 1816 and 1845 aswell.

Any help would be appreciated and will be passed on to other Boyce researchers in England and Wales.

Thanks
