Hello

Whilst updating the records of my Smith family from Hastings, I found that some of them don't appear on the new family search site which is where I found them originally.

I have a piece of paper from 2005 from this site which clearly show them, but I can't seem to find them on the site now.  Can any one else help to find them please and post the link?

John James Smith 1849 Hastings Sussex England
Elizabeth Jane Smith 1846 Hastings Sussex England
Ellen Fanny Smith 1847 Hastings Sussex England

These are just a few of them, they are the offspring of Isaac and Elizabeth Smith

Many thanks

London & Middlesex Lookup Requests / Hammersmith and Fulham Archives Help
« on: Saturday 02 February 13 11:44 GMT (UK)  »
Hello

Is there anyone planning or could go to the Hammersmith and Fulham Archives and wouldn't mind looking for a baptism for me please?

Records online have been searched and also St Paul and St Peter Hammersmith up to 1826 have been searched.

I am hoping that these archives may hold the baptism record.

I have the baptisms of siblings and they were baptised at both churches as above, parents were married at St Mary Abbotts Kensington 1821, but in the same year prior to their marriage their first child was baptised at St Paul  Hammersmith.

I am looking for the baptism of Elizabeth Purdy one of the daughters of George and Mary Purdy approximately from 1821.

Many thanks if anyone can help.

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / 1851 Census
« on: Friday 04 January 13 15:00 GMT (UK)  »
Hello

Can anyone help with this please?

I have a James Bennett Watkins (transcribed on FindMyPast as walkin) HO107 1470 280 49   Providence Yard Kensington and living with him is his daughter Emma aged 4 and his son George aged 2.

Wife Elizabeth appears to be missing.  I am at the library at the moment and have been browsing ancestry also and the strange thing is I am sure I saw an Elizabeth and James Bennett Watkins on their 1851 census index, but can't seem to find them now only James Bennett Watkins and his 2 children on FindMyPast.

Can anyone find the missing Elizabeth please born about 1824 Hammersmith?

Meanwhile I will keep searching for what I thought I saw!

Many thanks

I have found in the index of ancestry the couple I thought I saw in 1851 .... they are in the 1861 index. ::)

Still looking for Elizabeth Watkins born 1823 Hammersmith on the 1851 census though.

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Records at the LMA
« on: Monday 31 December 12 12:32 GMT (UK)  »
I have some information from many moons ago regarding records held at the LMA  ::).  It states that there are bishops transcripts of baptisms up to 1822 from St Paul Hammersmith.  I have accessed the LMA website which was dated 3 July 2012 and it does not mention St Paul Hammersmith at all.

Does this mean that these records are no longer held at the LMA (it looks like there are no records at all from this parish)?  If this is the case would they now be held at Hammersmith and Fulham Archives?

Thank you for clarification.
