Could you maybe copy some more of the text of the certificate (for comparison of letters and writing style) including the names of those married (which we might be able to cross check with a transcribed record)? Thanks?

This is a photo of my grandparents, Gordon McKay and Ethel Dixon with two of their children, presumably the eldest two, taken circa 1918-1919 in Sydney, NSW. These two children were siblings of my father, Dudley McKay. I attached the photographer details as well but can remove this border if it makes it easier to tidy up the photo. Thanks so much.  :) :) :) :) Wow!!! You have all done amazing work on these two photos, exceeded my expectations by far. Carol, thank you! Dora would have been exceptionally pleased with this beautiful make over. She was clearly a pretty young woman (my great aunt) and you have enhanced her beauty. Thank you also, Japeflakes. These are stunning restores. The second photo that I submitted was not of great quality but have managed to do as ever, an amazing job. Very natural look and thank you for repairing the tears and spots that had damaged the photos. Loord74, these colour restores are strikingly beautiful and you have done her proud. I love these! The colour adds a quality of softness to her face in both photos. Handypandy, you have maintained Dora's natural beauty and managed to remove all the imperfections, thank you. The light and shade on Dora's face in your second photo is just lovely.

 :) Hi I am attaching two photos of Dora Aldred as a young woman. She was born in Manchester but emigrated as a young woman with her parents and young siblings to Melbourne, Australia. Dora was the youngest sister of my maternal grandfather. Thanks, Deb

Looking at the two photos I think that they were different women. The women in the photo with the older woman (mother?) I think was taken at a later date. These women look more attractive than the women in the wedding photo.  :) Deb

Help needed to establish whether this is the same person. I know that the man in the photo in white uniform is definitely my grandfather, Edwin James Aldred who was born in Chorlton, Manchester in 1896 and emigrated to Australia around 1913-14 (working on merchant marine ships). On the back of the photo it states he was 22, so this photo was taken around 1918.
The other photo was dated by a rootschat expert as being post WW1, so if this is the case, it can't be the same person as my grandfather had a more receding hairline (so presumably older than the man in the other photo, if the same person).
Can I have your opinions, please? Both of the photos look like family members (one like one of my sister's sons and the other like her other son), so I can assume that these men are related, possibly brothers?

Similar cheekbones but military photo is too indistinct to see. Could you post a bigger photo? Deb
