Hi Patrick,

I'll reply in more detail to you at "bigpond" shortly.  But briefly, in case there are others out there trying to sort out "this lot".

There are various Kings Sutton Haynes Quaker marriages at Banbury where the parties continue to reside in Kings Sutton
eg. Elizabeth Haynes who married William Warren 15 Apr 1677.
However she and other Kings Sutton Haynes are mentioned in the will of Richard Haynes c. 1631-1701 a quaker of Banbury.  There are many mentioned - close and distant relatives. eg John Haynes who dies 1681 in Kings Sutton and his 4 sons

Richard and his wife Mary however were born and married in Bicester.  They are also related (from information in wills) to all the other  Banbury Quaker families EXCEPT (and here it gets really annoying!) MY Banbury Quaker  8x Grandparents John Haynes , a locksmith, (c1640) and Mary nee Smith. They seem to be each other's (2nd?) cousins and their families come from Banbury and Charlbury back to c. 1550. Very confusing indeed.

If anyone knows more of this last family I'd love to hear!
warm  wishes
Alison

Hello June,

I realise this is some years since your original message!  but I too am researching the Mulliners in the Audlem, Adderley, Market Drayton, Cheswardine  areas and have quite a few of their wills.   If you are interested  please send me a message and I would be very happy to share the information I have  (or indeed with anyone out there)

best wishes

Hi Elaine,
I've read of this Richard and always wondered how he fits in with my Haynes.  I'm certain he must because mine were Quakers too from the same area  with Richard and John their preferred Christian name choices.

John Richard H. and Elizabeth nee Stanford don't ring any bells however.  I'll  do a bit of looking  and make a "short list" of Richard's born around that time I've discovered .  Meanwhile I''ll send you a personal message with my home email
best wishes

Hello again "Lloydy"

I've just noticed you have  Challenor etc as one of your family names.  This exasperating Francis Mx of mine married Elizabeth Chalnor in Wem in 1607.  She is the 1584 daughter of George C. a cowper.
Is this part of your family also?

best wishes

Shropshire Lookup Requests / Re: Ellesmer parish records Francis Mullinex
« on: Sunday 06 February 11 18:59 GMT (UK)  »
Thank you so much for your offer.    I had a feeling that there weren't any earlier parish records available though!

Maybe I should re shape my query  -

Is anyone out there also researching  Mullineux/ Mulliners in Ellesmere/Wem?
I'm looking for the family of a Francis Mx/Mr of Ellesmere who left a 1660 will mentioning sons Roger, Joseph (overseas in the army), son Francis  daughter Mary married to a Mr Harrison, daughter Priscilla plus others in lost bits of the will.

This would make perfect sense if it were the will of his son Francis (who was still alive at least in 1681  ???)

To make it more confusing this older Francis also seems to have a 1669 will where he only mentions his wife Elizabeth.  This second will is certainly his and makes sense.

Does anyone else have this family on their tree and can make sense of them?

Many thanks, Alison

Shropshire Lookup Requests / Ellesmer parish records

Hi there,
can anyone please tell me whether there are parish records for Ellesmere that go back before 1630 for baptisms and c1655 for marriages. It would also be great to find some burial records.

I've just got some of my Mullineux family wills and they take me back before the records on the IGI

I'm quite happy to purchase therecords if they exist.  Otherwise if some kind soul could look up some C17 Ellesmere Mullineux    burials   for me  that would be a wonderful help also

many thanks indeed

Hello Sue & merry (almost) Christmas

Yes I think I can help you here .  I think the Hinton in the Hedges link is purely where Richard married Mary Parker.  This is a KS family from way back.

Richard who marries Mary is , I'm almost certain  b. 1697 Kings Sutton son of a Richard and Mary(name unknown again!) .  This older  Richard is the son of John Haynes & Milicent Donty born 1667 in KS.

I will send you transcripts I've made (not very expertly)  of Richard 1667 and his father John's wills..
Thanks to Patrick Haynes (see his earlier post)  I can now take this family back a few generations further to the 1550's

I'm afraid I have nothing more about your Richard after he  marries Mary Parker
His uncle Henry and brother Solomon are, however distantly related to me.  They are a very complicated family aren't they!

I'll email you privately and if you can then give me your ordinary email address I'll send you the will transcripts and their tree as best as I can

nice to be able to help you for a change !

best wishes, Alison
