Wiltshire / Parents of William Hudd.
« on: Friday 28 September 12 22:27 BST (UK)  »
Need some fresh eyes to take a look at my problem for me please.
I am looking for the parents of William Hudd. He married Elizabeth Applegate in 1819. William died in in 1837.
I have been following a line to see where it led which had Williams parents as James Hudd and Leah Potter, but now im thinking this maybe wrong as there was another lead that suggested that William Hudd and Wilhilmina Hudd may have been the parents.
Any help appreciated
Thanks

« on: Friday 24 August 12 22:07 BST (UK)  »
To all,
I have been trying to find Elizabeth Pearce born in 1827 in Hilperton Marsh on the 1841 census. She married Thomas Hudd in 1847 in Hilperton Marsh or near by so would assume she was maybe with her parents. I thought her parents were Thomas Pearce and Lizzy Pearce but i cant find them on the the 1841 census.
Any help would be appreciated

Sussex / BALDING Hastings
« on: Saturday 04 August 12 16:16 BST (UK)  »
This is just a general search on information of the Balding family that lived in Hastings. Odd story. I have two female Hudd ancestors that married into the family. Both woman were from wiltshire named Ellen AND Lydia Hudd, Ellen is also Lydias Aunt so the Balding son of Ellen was John who married Lydia making them cousins as well. Seems strsange that woman all the way in Wiltshire would marry men so far away. Just wondering if anyone has any interest or information abput the said family. Thanks.

Hi everyone
I have been searching for my 5x great grandmother for sometime now on the 1861 census. I have recently found out she was living with her 2 daughters Jane and Emily in 1851 in Staverton Wiltshire. She is recorded as being a cultivator of 3 acres employing 1 lad. I have seen her grave and have found out she died on the 22nd of april 1868. She is buried with her husband and first son and his wife. In the 1851 census she is mistranscribed as surname Hadd not Hudd. She was born in 1796 in Trowbridge as Elizabeth Applegate. I dont know what to do now as i can't find her on the 1861 census now.

Be glad of the help, thanks.
